Travel Q&A with Amanda

We decided to do a little Q&A to get the inside scoop on our newest addition to the team:

1) What’s your favorite place you’ve visited so far?

It’s got to be Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, where I fulfilled a life-long dream to see Mountain Gorillas in the wild. But Botswana is a close second as the wildlife viewing opportunities there are awesome too.

2) What made you become interested in traveling?

My interest in travel is rooted in a love of geography and the natural environment, plus a bit of the spirit of adventure that my late father passed on to me.

3) Have you a good mishap/embarrassing moment you’d like to share? Make us all feel a little better about our mishaps, please 🙂

In the UK it’s polite to clear your plate when someone cooks for you, but in some cultures it is best to show you are full up by leaving a little bit, otherwise your plate will keep getting topped up. I didn’t realise this until I’d almost eaten one kind family ‘out of house and home’..Amanda Williams travel blogger.

4) Hey, that’s a good one! And food can be a tricky thing in different cultures. What’s a travel tip for girls that you’ve learned on the road that you’d like to share?

Stimulus-control therapy (learning to associate bedroom environment with sleep; maintaining sleep-wake cycles); sleep restriction therapy learn this here now order levitra online (limiting the time one spends in bed sleeping thus creating mild sleep deprivation); relaxation training (stress reduction); paradoxical intention (avoiding intention to fall asleep); biofeedback (for helping to control breathing and body response). Also known as ‘seronoa repens’, this powerful little herb is good for lots of things, not cialis tabs just hair loss. Therefore, it is better to generic viagra visit a doctor for examination. The tadalafil india amalgamation of these medications may cause sexual side effects such as ED, low libido etc.
Just trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t, but if it does then go for it.

5) I love that! It’s always a good idea to listen to your gut. Well let’s play fill in the blank now. Answer this: You might not expect it, but I never go on a trip without packing _________.

Snacks!! I’m a vegetarian, and so I’m always a little paranoid about getting enough to eat, but it’s usually completely unnecessary.

6) Hey we’ll never argue with snacks! Love it. Is there anywhere you haven’t been that you’d particularly like to travel to?

I dream about going to Virunga National Park in Democratic Republic of Congo (Africa’s oldest national park) and seeing more Mountain Gorillas. This is somewhere close to my heart as I am a trustee of a gorilla conservation charity that supports the wildlife rangers there.

7) Wow – we hope you get to travel there soon. We’ll end with a question that mixes practical and fashion: What’s your go-to pair of shoes for spending all day walking in a new city?

It’s got to be my Merrell Kahuna III Womens Sandals. So comfortable and cool to wear. They have done some serious miles!

Welcome on board Amanda!
